Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how QuickFileTools (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use quickfiletools.org (the “Site”). We designed the Site to collect as little data as possible: there are no user accounts, and we do not sell personal information.

Our core principle: we do not keep your files

Most tools process files entirely inside your web browser, so the files never leave your device. A few tools need a server-side engine; for those, files are deleted immediately after the result is returned. We never inspect, sell, share or retain the contents of your documents or photos.

1. Files you process

  • In-browser tools: all image tools (resize, crop, compress, rotate, filters, watermark and format converters such as JPG, PNG, WebP and SVG) and most PDF tools (merge, split, compress, rotate, delete pages, password protect, watermark, PDF to JPG, JPG/Image to PDF) run locally in your browser. Your files are not transmitted to us.
  • Server-assisted tools: the following tools send the file to our server over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection because they rely on desktop-class engines that cannot run in a browser: PDF to Word, Word to PDF, Edit PDF, Remove PDF Password, HEIC to JPG / PNG / WebP. The file is written to temporary storage only for the duration of the conversion, and both the uploaded file and the result are deleted as soon as the response is sent. We do not keep copies or use file contents for any other purpose.

2. Information you send us

If you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and the content of your message. We use this information only to reply to you and to improve the Site. Messages are delivered to our inbox through our email provider and are kept only as long as needed to handle your request. We never add you to a mailing list or share your details with third parties for marketing.

3. Server logs

Like nearly all websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically records standard technical information for each request — such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and a timestamp. These logs are used solely for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting, and are retained for a limited period.

4. Advertising and cookies (Google AdSense)

To keep QuickFileTools free, we display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads and measure their performance.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
  • Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Where required by law — for example for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland — we ask for your consent before personalised advertising cookies are used, and you can change your choice at any time. Ads are unrelated to the files you process; ad providers never receive your documents or images.

5. Local storage and preferences

We use your browser's localStorage to remember non-identifying preferences such as your colour theme (light, dark or system). This data stays on your device and is not sent to us.

6. Data security

All traffic to the Site is encrypted with HTTPS. Server-assisted conversions run in temporary storage that is cleared after each request. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect the limited data we handle and to keep it for the shortest time possible.

7. Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your rights (GDPR and CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Because we do not run user accounts or keep uploaded files, the only personal information we typically hold is correspondence you send us. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we add new tools. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.

10. Contact us
