Core Advantages

Why Use QuickFileTools for AVIF to JPG Converter?

Opens anywhere

JPG is understood by every phone, computer, editor, printer and website, which is exactly why you convert AVIF files that refuse to open.

Handles transparency

JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with a color you choose — white by default, or black, gray or cream.

Private by design

Your browser decodes the AVIF and writes the JPG on your own device. No upload, no waiting, and it works even on a slow connection once the page has loaded.

Batch ready

Convert a whole folder of AVIF downloads at once and save them together as a ZIP.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why can’t I open my AVIF file?
AVIF is a newer format. Older versions of Windows, many photo editors and some websites cannot read it. Converting it to JPG gives you a file everything can open.
Will I lose quality converting AVIF to JPG?
JPG is a lossy format, so some detail is lost, but at 85–95% quality the difference is hard to see. Use a high setting for photos you plan to edit or print.
What happens to a transparent AVIF?
JPG has no transparency, so the see-through parts are filled with the background color you choose. If you need to keep transparency, use our AVIF to PNG converter instead.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion uses your browser’s built-in AVIF decoder and runs entirely on your device. Your images never leave it.
Why does the tool say my browser could not decode the file?
It relies on your browser’s AVIF support. Current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari 16 or newer can all decode AVIF. If you see this message, update your browser and try again.
What about animated AVIF files?
The first frame of an animated AVIF is converted to a still JPG.
